First edition: A biography of Jonas Hanway noted traveler, philanthropist, and social reformer. A governor of Foundling Hospital and founder of Magdalen House, Hanway took on many causes. He sought to assist the poor, especially poor youth, by addressing infant mortality and the plight of chimney sweeps.
